Privacy & your choices

How TradeSmart uses email delivery tracking, visitor counts and account records — plus one-click opt-out controls for UK tradespeople.

Visitor counts

We count page views so we can see how many people reach pages like the free invoice tool. For each view we store the page path, the referring site, the time, a random visitor ID kept in your browser's local storage, and your account ID if you are signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not store IP addresses or build advertising profiles.

Counts are only ever viewed in aggregate by the site administrator. Turning the switch below off stops this device sending any further page views.

On — anonymous page views are counted.

The setting is saved in this browser, so repeat it on other devices or browsers you use.

Email tracking

Emails we send — welcome messages, order confirmations, quotes and invoices you send from the tools, and support replies — are logged by our email provider so we can confirm delivery. The log records the recipient address, subject, time and delivery outcome (sent, bounced, marked as spam, or unsubscribed). Logs are kept for 14 days and are visible only to the site administrator.

We do not use tracking pixels, so we cannot tell whether you opened an email or clicked a link.

Opting out

  • Use the unsubscribe link in any non-essential email to stop marketing and product updates.
  • Transactional emails (order receipts, password resets, quotes you choose to send to a customer) are required to run your account and cannot be switched off while the account is open.
  • Ask us to delete your delivery history early at Support.
The Members list

When you create an account we keep an internal Members record: your email address, the name you give us, your sign-up date, when you were last active, your role, and a summary of your purchases and unlocked tools. It is used to run your account, provide support and unlock what you have bought.

This list is private. It is never published, sold or shared with other customers or advertisers, and it is only accessible to the site administrator through a protected dashboard.

Your choices

  • View and edit your own details any time in Account settings.
  • Ask for your account and Members record to be deleted via Support. We remove your profile and stop all email, keeping only the purchase records UK tax law requires us to hold for six years.
  • Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, and we will send it to your registered address.
Your rights & contact

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, and ask for it in a portable format. We rely on legitimate interests for aggregate visitor counts and delivery logging, and on contract for account, purchase and transactional email data.

For any privacy request, contact us through the support form. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
